A Healthy Beginning for Your Little Darling

At Little Darling Ragdolls, the health and well-being of our cats and kittens is at the heart of everything we do. With more than 15 years of Ragdoll breeding experience, we take great care in selecting our breeding cats, providing appropriate veterinary care, and giving every kitten a healthy and nurturing start.

Our goal is to send each Little Darling home with confidence, supported by appropriate veterinary documentation and a clear understanding of their health history.

Veterinary Examination

Before leaving our care, each kitten receives appropriate veterinary attention and a health evaluation consistent with our veterinary recommendations and the requirements of their individual placement.

Our kittens are monitored as they grow, and we take their development, nutrition, behavior, and general well-being seriously.

Health records provided with your kitten will identify the veterinary care and preventive treatments the kitten has received.

Health Testing & Responsible Breeding

We take responsible health screening seriously when selecting and maintaining our breeding cats.

Our breeding program considers hereditary and breed-related health concerns relevant to Ragdolls, and we use appropriate health testing and veterinary guidance as part of our breeding decisions.

We are particularly attentive to genetic health considerations associated with the Ragdoll breed.

Where applicable, families receive the available health-testing information relating to their kitten and/or parents.

Our Health Commitment

We guarantee that, to the best of our knowledge and based on the veterinary examination performed before placement, your kitten is in good health at the time they leave our care.

We stand behind the health of the kittens we place and want every family to feel comfortable contacting us if questions or concerns arise after bringing their kitten home.

However, because kittens are living animals, we cannot guarantee that a kitten will never develop an illness, congenital condition, hereditary condition, or other medical problem during its lifetime.

No responsible breeder can make that promise.

Our commitment is to practice responsible breeding, provide appropriate veterinary care, disclose known health information, and give every kitten the strongest possible start.

Your First Veterinary Visit

We strongly recommend that your kitten be examined by your own licensed veterinarian shortly after arriving home.

This visit allows your veterinarian to establish a baseline for your kitten and continue their vaccination, parasite-prevention, nutrition, and general healthcare plan.

Your veterinarian should be informed that the kitten has recently traveled and moved into a new environment.

Please follow the examination period and notification requirements specified in your individual purchase agreement, as these terms may vary.

Genetic & Hereditary Conditions

Ragdolls, like all living breeds, can have inherited or genetic health risks.

We take these considerations seriously when planning our breeding program and use appropriate health screening to help make responsible breeding decisions.

Health testing can reduce risk, but it cannot eliminate every possible genetic or medical condition.

Our written health guarantee explains the specific conditions covered, the applicable time periods, required veterinary documentation, and the responsibilities of both the breeder and the buyer.

What Our Guarantee Does Not Cover

Unless specifically stated otherwise in your written purchase agreement, the health guarantee does not cover conditions resulting from circumstances occurring after the kitten leaves our care, including injury, accidents, improper nutrition, neglect, unsafe environments, or failure to obtain recommended veterinary care.

Routine veterinary expenses, vaccinations, parasite prevention, food, grooming, and other normal costs of kitten ownership are the responsibility of the new owner unless otherwise stated in the contract.

Transparency Matters

We believe trust begins with honest communication.

If we are aware of a health concern or relevant medical history involving a kitten or its parents, we believe prospective families should receive appropriate information before completing the adoption.

We encourage families to ask questions and review available veterinary and health documentation before taking their kitten home.

Our Promise to Our Families

When you choose a Little Darling Ragdoll, you are choosing a kitten that has been raised with care and attention.

We will provide the health information and documentation applicable to your kitten and remain available as a resource as your new companion settles into your home.

Our relationship with our families is important to us, and we genuinely want to see every Little Darling grow into a happy, healthy, loved member of their forever family.

Family-Friendly Temperament

We encourage gentle handling and positive interaction to help kittens become confident companions
